The Upstate Hockey Club Foundations Fall Clinic is a six-week introductory program designed specifically for athletes new to the sport or those looking to solidify their fundamental skills. Our curriculum focuses on establishing the foundations of field hockey in a structured, high-energy environment.

Program Focus & Curriculum

  • Technical Foundations: Comprehensive instruction on correct stick grip, body positioning, ball control, and fundamental passing and receiving mechanics.

  • Tactical Integration: Introduction to basic game rules, field spacing, and defensive positioning through structured, small-sided gameplay.

Equipment : Upstate HC provides all necessary field hockey sticks, shin guards, training balls, and reversible pinnies. Participants are required to bring athletic footwear, mouthguard, and water bottle.
